EcoQuest Air Purifiers & Germs

It's not as clean as you probably think

A lot of people go to work in an office setting every day. Their desks might be a little messy, but they're pretty clean, right? Wrong, according to Microbiologist Dr. Charles Gerba and Allison Janse, authors of the book The Germ Freak's Guide to Outwitting Colds and Flu.

"Most people won't do anything to their desk 'til they start sticking to it. In fact, we find 400 times more bacteria on a desktop than we do most toilet seats," says Gerba.

ABC News interviewed Dr. Gerba and Allison Janse recently and learned that our keyboards, phone, mouse, and desktops are some of the germiest areas we touch all day.

This has a lot to do with people eating at their desks and just being in a public area where many people touch the same objects.

Things we can do to safeguard ourselves at work include:

Wash hands frequently

Avoid touching things that a lot of other people touch, like door handles, water fountains, the break room microwave, etc.

Frequently disinfect your work area

Constantly buying disinfecting wipes can get expensive, and who has the time? Your customers have work to do! Good thing that ActivePure™, found in the Fresh Air line of products, kills up to 99.99% of germs on surfaces*. Both the ecobox and Fresh Air to Go are super lightweight and can be easily moved to and from the office as needed.

If you know someone who works in an office (and we know you do!), tell them to invest in their health and kill those nasty surface germs with ActivePure.

EcoQuest International Meetings News

Coordinating Manager Bob Colasanti knows that the best way to grow a successful organization is through local meetings. He recently held one in his hometown of Jacksonville, FL where a brand new Dealer and his guest showed their excitement by traveling over 4 hours to attend.

"One new Dealer and his guest, traveled all the way from Tampa, Fl. to come to my meeting in Jacksonville, Fl. That is a 4 and a half hour drive. And they drove back home that night.

"This reminded me of when I was a new Dealer in EcoQuest. I traveled several hours to go to meetings in 6 different states. As a result, I learned how to do good meetings and have had hundreds of them in my 9-year career with the company."

Was it worth traveling hours away to attend Dealer meetings? Bob thinks so. "It was worth it, as EcoQuest bonus checks and sales paid all the bills for my big family of now 8 for the last 8 years!"

Bob's meeting guest must have thought it was worth it too. They signed up as a new Dealer that night.

EcoQuest International ecoH Cleaner

Brian and Joyce Raines have a white carpet in their house. As you can imagine, white carpet can get dirty with normal wear and tear. A few months ago, tea was spilled on the carpet, leaving a horrible stain.

"I used my Bissell steam cleaner with their proprietary cleaner, but it could not get the stain out," says Brian.

A friend suggested they use OxyClean. "I scrubbed and scrubbed," says the Easley, S.C., Dealer. "No results."

They called Service Master, who did a fine job cleaning the carpet, "but they couldn't get the tea stain out."

When Brian's next EcoQuest order arrived, he pulled out the ecoH. "I started reading the label on my bottle of ecoH and the informational sheet that comes with the product. It said to use one ounce of ecoH to five gallons of water to steam clean your carpet. Joyce and I both laughed. We said, "There is no way one ounce of ecoH in five gallons of water will clean this carpet.' I said, 'OK, I'll give it a try.'"

He did, and now the carpet is clean with no tea stain. "Joyce and I are blown away! If you're not using and selling this product, you are making a big mistake! You can use this stuff for just about everything, including putting on roses and houseplants."

Added benefits of ecoH are that it's inexpensive, great for the environment, and has no added chemicals, he says.

EcoQuest International And Swine Flu

The recent explosion of media coverage on swine influenza has caused major concern among the general public. As an independent Business Owner, you may get questions regarding EcoQuest Air Purifier units and/or ActivePure technology, and what they can do to prevent the spread of this virus.

Although no specific testing of H1N1, swine influenza, has been conducted against ActivePure technology, ActivePure has proven effective against H5N8, or avian flu and a host of other contaminants on surfaces*. This does not mean that ActivePure will kill swine flu. EcoQuest does not know that. What EcoQuest International does know is that it kills lots of other things, and gives peace of mind that you're doing all you can to keep yourself and your family safe from germs on surfaces.

Other preventative measures you and your family can practice to prevent the risk of infection are:

Practice good health habits including adequate sleep, keeping physically active and eating nutritious food.

Wash your hands with soap or alcohol-based hand cleaners and water often.

Try to avoid close contact with people who have fever and cough.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

Throw tissues in the trash after you use them.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth (germs spread this way).

The consumption of pork products is safe. Swine influenza has not been shown to be transmissible to people through eating pork. Swine flu viruses are killed by cooking temperatures of 160°F/70°C.

Recently EcoQuest's National Field Leader, Mike Jackson conducted an interview with Kansas State University Regent's Distinguished Professor, Dr. James Marsden about concerns over swine flu and the effectiveness of ActivePure technology against contaminants on surfaces*.

Dr. Marsden has been studying ActivePure for over 5 years, and has much to say about this powerful technology and its effectiveness.

Click here to listen to this informative interview.

*Published scientific testing with Kansas State University has demonstrated the use of EcoQuest's ActivePure technology to substantially reduce microbial populations on surfaces. No claim with respect to airborne microbials is made based on these results. Field results may vary based on environmental conditions. These results have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not a medical device intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

EcoQuest International Video 10

Most EcoQuest International Air Purifier Dealers know that each new Dealer you bring in to your organization means growth for the EcoQuest Company, and more importantly, for your business. Your new Executive Leadership Team wants to see your business grow, and they want to give you the opportunity to earn some extra bonuses for making that happen.

Today's video from Executive Vice President of Sales, Bill Coyle and National Field Leader, Mike Jackson will introduce two new incentives launched at the Chairman's Leadership Kickoff Meeting in Dallas. These programs are both designed to jumpstart sponsorship and award you for growing your organization.

The first is the $100,000 EQXPLOSION POOL Contest which awards $5,000 to each of EcoQuest's top 10 point getters from April 15-August 15, 2009. Winners will be awarded on stage at our International Convention in Knoxville, TN. In addition, 10 more winners of $5,000 each will be drawn on stage in Knoxville from a pool of those other Business Owners who earned at least 10 points during the contest period.

Watch the video, then click here for more information, and get started.

Next is the Leadership Wealth Builder's Bonus Plan, which runs through the end of May 2009. You could earn anywhere from an additional $75 to $500 bonus just for sponsoring new Dealers.

Look for tomorrow's video where EcoQuest wrap up everything you've seen at the Dallas Meeting and show what some of your top field leaders, who attended the meeting, thought of the home office Team and our new Company.

EcoQuest International EcoPower4 Information

The air purifier company EcoQuest International has received some concerns from the field regarding the lack of UL certification on the temporary EcoPower4 unit they currently have in stock.

These units are QPS and NRTL certified and currently meet the criteria for UL approval. UL Certification is pending at this time, therefore the current EcoPower4 will not carry a UL Certified label.

EcoQuest has provided a QPS Temporary Certification and Temporary Authorization Notice you may direct potential customers to while they obtain official Certification. To view the document, look for it on the www.EcoTrustEnergy.com homepage.
