EcoQuest International

Think back 20 years ago, was anyone thinking about air purification? Did anybody talk to you about air purifiers? Did you see any advertisements on television or the internet (wait, there wasn’t any internet) 20 years ago encouraging you to buy air purifiers?

No…I didn’t think so.

That’s because 20 years ago air purification was just beginning to be a solution for the problem of indoor air pollution. More than 20 years ago indoor air pollution was almost completely unheard of.

The reason for air purification came about because of the energy crisis of the late 1970’s. After the energy crisis we needed to make our homes more energy efficient and the solution was to seal them up and weatherize the heck out of them. In effect it was like we were living in a large plastic bag with nowhere for the pollution we were creating inside our homes to go.

We were creating dust from our skin (80% of dust is dead skin cells), we were trapping in all sorts of chemicals from furniture, construction materials and carpeting, etc., and we were creating a serious problem for ourselves and there wasn’t any solution to the problem.

Enter EcoQuest International or Alpine Industries and Mr Bill Converse. William Converse came up with the ionic ozone based air purification technology more than 20 years ago, before any of the copycats like the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Quadra did.

Now 20 years later EcoQuest has the top selling air purifier in the world, the Fresh Air by EcoQuest, and is on the forefront of the air purification revolution with more types of air purification systems and technology than any other air purifier manufacturer in existence today.

EcoQuest has more than 15 different kinds of air purifiers from personal air purifiers, to room air purifiers to commercial air purifiers. If you have an indoor air quality issue, EcoQuest International has a solution.

If you have a problem with your residential air quality the solution to your problem is the Fresh Air. The Fresh Air replaced the Living Air Classic as the top selling air purifier in the world and is far advanced in technology than the older model Living Air.

Cleaing YOUr EcoQuest Fresh Air Focus

The Fresh Air Focus is the little but very powerful answer to focusing freshness in small spaces like trash cans, litter boxes, and closets. But because Focus is so small, it’s easy to let the monthly maintenance slip your mind.

Don’t forget to clean your Focus!

Waiting too long could reduce its effectiveness or cause the unit to stop working. If this happens, perform the monthly cleaning and remember that Focus needs attention about every 30 days.
Maintenance is simple, just takes a few minutes, and doesn’t require any special cleaning solutions.

All you need is a little alcohol and a cotton swab to keep your Fresh Air Focus running in top condition.

You can download the monthly cleaning instructions at the main EcoQuest International website.

Living Air Purifier

Many different names are used in describing or classifying air purifiers made by EcoQuest International out of Greeneville Tennessee.

Some people have used the term Living Air Purifier, while this term can be used to classify all of the air purifiers mades by EcoQuest, there isn’t an air purifier called the Living Air Purifier.

For people that use this term, they may be thinking of the Living Air Classic which is one of the first purifiers made by EcoQuest or Alpine Industries. The Classic, or something very close to it has been in existence for more than 20 years.

Although EcoQuest still manufactures and sells the Living Air Classic through it’s network of distributors, the purifier most people opt for today is the Fresh Air by EcoQuest. The Fresh Air is way more advanced than the Classic and has a much more aesthetically pleasing design.

The Fresh Air uses much more advanced technology than the Classic. One of those technologies is Radiant Catalytic Ionization or RCI. This air purification technology uses high intensity Ultraviolet light with a specially developed rare metal hydrophilic coating on an engineered matrix that does a number of different things to clean your air.

So anyway, the bottom line is, even though there really isn’t a specific unit called the Living Air Purifier, EcoQuest has many different air purification systems to take care of a host of different air quality issues.

Germs are in the news these days. A recent Today Show segment on the germiest places you'll visit on an average day revealed the following germ-packed areas:

A load of wet laundry - Who'd a thunk?

Public drinking fountains - Don't put your lips on it.

Shopping cart handles - Think of that next time your little tyke is chewing on one.

ATM buttons - How many times do those buttons get pushed?

Your handbag - Well, I'm sure some are nastier than others.

Playgrounds - Kids a germs seem to go together.

Mats and machines at health clubs - Laying on other people's sweat, sweet!

Your bathtub - Wash the slime off of you into your tub, that's what happens.

Your office phone - How much time do you spend yacking on that every day?

The hotel-room remote control - That's what they used to say, "Don't touch that dial!"

EcoQuest Fresh Air

Many of you reading this may already own your own EcoQuest air purifier.

It could be a Fresh Air or Breeze or a Living Air Classic.

However, the most popular air purifier made by EcoQuest is the Fresh Air. You may love your Fresh Air and think that it’s doing it’s job every day by sitting up there on top of your china cabinet and cleaning your air hour after hour.

But did you know that your Fresh Air purifier can be use for much more than just cleaning the air in your home.

One of the most popular things you can do with your air purifier is to use it for a specific purpose like getting the odor out of an old smelly pair of tennis shoes or deodorizing the interior of your car or a whole host of other uses.

If you have a bad smelling pair of tennis shoes what you can do is take your Fresh Air and your tennis shoes out to the garage and place your shoe in front of the air purifier on something that is 6 to 8 inches high so they will be directly in the air flow of the unit.

You the turn the purifier on high or sanitize for 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours depending on the severity of the odor. After a few hours in front of your purifier your shoes will smell fresh and clean.

You can also put your Fresh Air in your can if you need to get rid of a smoke smell or other odors. Use an extension cord and place the air purifier in your can with the windows rolled up. (leave room for the extension cord) Turn the unit on high for 2 to 8 hours and at the end of the chosen cycle turn on your air conditioning fan to circulate the purification through your a/c ducts.

There are many things you can do with your purifier from EcoQuest. Hopefully this will give you some ideas to come up with your own creative solutions to your air quality and household odor problems.
